P. Singh.
The company specializes in exports-imports related tasks for the pharmaceutical sector. It can be reckoned as Bellwether in the orb of freight forwarding in the above mentioned pharma sector. Working on the steam of about 40- 50 employees, “we manage to provide our consignments on time or even before schedule more than 90% of the time.” As per Mr. Ajay Kumar, director, of this organization, “we are doing 600 containers by sea per annum and “is ringing in turnovers of about Rs 10 crores every year.” Incidentally, the exports quotient of this company is of about 1500 consignments, and that of imports is of close to 2500 consignments through Air Freight.
Ruing the fact that the “customs department is not too quick in their work gambit,” Mr. Singh strongly believes that the secret of their success is “sheer hard work and the hands of destiny along with the supportive role played by my wife, Mrs. Dayawati Singh.” Having managed to retain over and above 80% of their staffers, this father-son duo are okay with the GST regime and all that it stands for and wish for certain facilitations for tax payers from the government of the land. The C.S.R. activities from this corporate entity include work in the Venu Eye Hospital of arranging Eye camps in various villages and other donations to the tune of about Rs 5 lakh every year through their own NGO Jan Swasthya Sewa Samiti (Regd.), et al. He is also taking care of his native village Jagtari on Aligarh Road. In effect, Mr. S.P. Singh has been in the top management of the Federal Welfare Council of Palam, the Delhi Custom Clearing Agent Association, Jat Vikas Sabha (Regd) Sadh Nagar, Palam, etc.
The freight conglo-merate has gained trust of clients of pharma, medical & other segments across the country. Few major clients worth mentioning are Sun Pharma, Horiba India, Ranbaxy, Avantor performance Diagnostics, Hettich India and list goes on. The company has retained its clients to the maximum since inception.
Elaborating some of the grievances, Mr. Singh feels, “there are lot of payments which get stuck & are delayed but we have to pay GST to the Govt. & also to IATA always on time.”
Mr. S.P. Singh, son of late Mr. Dalchand Singh, is a totally self-made person and one who very capable of running the enterprise and taking it to trailblazing heights.The awards and citations given to honor this company and its head honcho include the Udyog Rattan Award & Excellence Award by the Institute of Economic Studies by Dr. Bhishm Narain Singh(honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu & Assam and ex-union minister and Dr.GVG Krishnamurti (election officer of India) 2007, and the Udyog Vibhushan Samman Puruskar for recognizing outstanding achievements in business excellence and quality achievements at the national seminar of social economic growth and national integration by the Indian Organization for Commerce and Industry.
